As we consider our breeding a hobby and our dogs primarily beloved family members and only secondly show or breeding dogs, there will only be a litter every 1-2 years - rather less.
It is very important to us to socialize our puppies as well as possible. We want our babies to be well-prepared for the world "outside", so that they go with self-confidence to their new homes.
Our pups will be born in our living room and remain in the house up to the 4th week. Here they get to know all the noises a normal household produces right from the beginning - vacuum cleaner, radio and television, kitchen equipment and pot rattling, telephone and door bell, lawn-mower and many other things. Of course we spend a lot of time with every single pup, play the first little games with them and show them how lovely "people cuddling" is ;)
Starting from the 4/5th week (depending on weather situation
and temperatures) they then can leave the house and now life is
going to be really exciting ;))
We build up a small adventure playground in the garden with changing
"attractions" like tunnel, seesaw, cave, sandpit, water basin, ball
box, new toys again and again, balloons, fluttering ribbons etc.
Now the future puppy owners are welcome to visit the little ones
as often as possible to watch them and of course to play and to
cuddle with them, too.
Around the 6th week we slowly start introducing car driving - of course together with Mummy. A bit later the pups may explore a strange environment at a small trip.
Finally, the puppies are free to go to their new homes after completion of the 9th week at the earliest. They have already got their first vaccination, repeated deworming and a microchip now.
It is very important to us to be further partners for all our
"babies" and their humans, we want to stay in CONTACT and we always
have an open ear for any problems, small or large.
Of course we hope to meet our puppies again occasionally, may it
be at a dog show or a walk or a puppy meeting.
